Over 50 years of games have been played on this court. The passion of these students transcends over many years. Now at the last game played the girls team left it all.

Girls Basketball played Cyprus on Friday, February 15, 2019, defeating them with a score of 50 to 32, sealing up their 8th win in region. Junior, Amanda Means scored 16, Freshman, Brinlee McRae scored 10, Senior, Nicole Wilson scored 8, and Junior, Arleigh Sorensen scored 6.

Senior, Samantha Gallman said, “Our nerves were already running high due to two previous loses to Cyprus and the senior night emotions only heightened the thrill of being on the court the last time.”  She continued, “As soon as the ball was thrown into the air, you could visibly see the relief on the senior’s faces as parents, students, and players realized it was just a basketball game.”

The athletic director, Sally Williams, said in an interview with, “The girls game did not disappoint tonight. I love our kids, they are what sports are all about, they have heart and they will get so much more out of their sports experience because of it.”

In an interview with, basketball head coach, Devin Olenick said, “I’m so proud of our group of seniors this season, and the many ways they affect and influence the underclassmen in positive and impactful ways. Their effort and work ethic on a daily basis is something to be admired, and has certainly set the tone for years to come. We will miss them and are grateful for all they’ve given to this program.”

Finishing off strong was a great way to end the season and to finish the legacy of this court. Hundreds of games, hundreds of wins and loses, this court has memories that will affect  generations to come.
