Dwyane Wade is one of the best players to ever play the sport of Basketball, and on Wednesday, April 10 his career came to an end. After a total of 16 years in the NBA, he decided it was time to hang up his jersey. At the age of 37, he was still turning heads all over the league with his impressive stat lines week in and out.

He played 14 years for the Miami Heat, Half a season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the second half of the season with the Chicago Bulls, and then returned to Miami for One Last Dance. He ended his career where it all began.

In 13 of his 16 seasons, he played in the NBA All-Star game, which is a very big accomplishment in any NBA players career.

Dwyane played college ball at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 2001-2003, where he scored 1,203 points, got 255 assists, and grabbed 420 rebounds. Doing all of this at Marquette, which isn’t a big athletic school was very impressive, and quickly got attention from many NBA scouts.

Dwyane has had a very successful career. He has won three NBA championship titles, and was the 2006 NBA finals MVP.

He has left an impressive mark on the sport of basketball, and people are anticipating his name to be called into the NBA Hall of Fame soon, and to have his jersey number retired in Miami.
