Avengers: The end of something great

Marvel started their ascent on May 2, 2008 when Iron Man 1 came out. Since then, 20 other movies have been made. Their gross has been roughly $18.7 billion in those years. Throughout the majority of the movies, the villains work for one main villain: Thanos.

Thanos finally becomes the villain to beat in a two part movie to finish the series. It starts out with the first part in this finale, Avengers: Infinity War. This movie starts out with Thanos destroying Asgard, the ship, with Thor’s brother, Loki murdered by the hand of Thanos. Throughout this movie, the fight between the Avengers and Thanos is to get all six infinity stones. If one gets all six infinity stones, that person has the power to do anything.

Everyone expected that the first half of the conclusion to Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War, but went away from the movie surprised. This movie ends with Thanos getting all six infinity stones and completing his lifelong goal, to give his mercy and wipe out half of the universe to make the other half able to live to prosper with more.

Avengers: Endgame starts out with a scene with Tony Stark and Nebula, the only two people who survived on Titan after the battle against Thanos for the time stone. They had to go through 22 different days of being alone in a ship. This scene is perfect because it sets the movie on how sad it is when half of the universe is killed. Captain Marvel came to save them from suffocation of running out of air. Madison McCurdy, a student at Hillcrest High School said, “I felt super depressed, and that helped me feel more connected with the movie.”

After the 3 weeks of being alone, Tony Stark is unhealthy, and has to rest for a while. During that time, the remaining Avengers kill Thanos, but they find out that he destroyed all of the stones, and their chance to change the past soon passes away. Madison McCurdy said  “I was taken by surprise, in awe. After this scene, I didn’t know what to expect. I wanted to walk out.”

This truth stays until Ant Man escapes the Quantum Realm five years later and, with the help of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, finds a way to travel back in time to take the stones and bring everyone back. Madison McCurdy also said, “The hope that had vanished after the scene with the old Thanos, was restored and kept me in my seat.” The team split into three different teams, three different time periods, to retrieve the stones.

From one of those time periods, Thanos time jumps back into the present and fights the final battle. This scene gives the audience something perfect to grab onto throughout the rest of the movie.

The final battle between the Avengers and Thanos takes place at the Avenger’s building, located in upstate New York, which was burned down by missiles from Thanos’s ship. This is a very epic battle, where it takes the audience on a rollercoaster of action. After the fight on who gets the stones, Tony Stark ends up with them, inserting their energy into his suit, and snaps Thanos and his army away. The energy from the stones is too much for Tony Stark, and he ends up killing him. This ending is epic and perfect for the end of the Avengers series.
