Cuttlefish are the lesser-known cousins of octopuses and squids. Cuttlefish are known for the small bone in the head. There are over one hundred species of these cute animals and all have six arms and two tentacles. They are often one-fourth of an inch long according to Britannica.

The best part of cuttlefish is that male fish cross dress to breed. They’ll dress up as girls and then inseminate the female while a male that isn’t cross dressed pursues her. The interesting part is  cuttlefish prefer the sperm of the mate that cross dressed.

Cuttlefish are the cutest fish in the sea. If you want to make sure these cute animals continue to swim around in our seas, you can donate money to the Safina Center.
