Christmas classics

Watching movies at Christmas is always an adventure, whether it is with family or that special someone. But sometimes it can be tricky deciding what movies to watch. Here are a list of five Christmas movies that are a must see-ranging from romantic, to super family friendly.

“White Christmas” is about two couples who fall in love at Christmas.

White Christmas is a classic black and film from 1954. It is a romance comedy/romance. White Christmas is about two sisters and two men who become friends and help a gentlemen. (I don’t want to give any spoilers.) This show is absolutely adorable, and the romance is extremely appropriate and heart warming. This show starts Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Dean Jagger.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer is a film from 1964. Rudolph is a classic movie and is the perfect Christmas Movie for any circumstances. This old movie is a must see because the message is so pure and the characters are incredibly adorable-especially the narwhal. Rudolph is about Rudolph-a reindeer who is mocked by his fellow reindeer “friends’ because of his glowing red nose. In this show he makes new friends and ends up saving Christmas. Rudolph features Billie Mae Richards (Rudolph) and many others.

The movie Elf is an excellent movie for the whole family. Elf is about Buddy the Elfs’ journey to find his father in New York City. Buddy is originally from the North Pole, and his father doesn’t know he exists. This movie is fun of fun and adventure and is super fun to watch. Buddy is such a funny character to watch, and the whole movie is a must see. Elf stars famous Will Farell. 

 

Home Alone:

Home Alone (both 1 and 2) is a story about Kevin McCallister, a salty and brave young boy whose family accidentally leaves him ‘home alone’ while they go on Christmas vacation, all the while two bratty bad guys try to do bad things. Kevin has to set up booby-traps and uses his young mind to get rid of them. These movies are extremely funny and probably the best Christmas movies of all time. Home alone starts Macaulay Culkin (Kevin), Joe Pesci (Harry Lime), and Daniel Stern (Marv).

 

Polar Express:

The Polar Express is a very popular Christmas movie. This movie is a good one to watch with the family and can be watched over and over again. The Polar Express is an animated movie based off the book by Chris Van Allsburg. This movie is about a young boy who doubts the reality of Santa, goes on a journey and learns to believe. This show is a must watch because all the characters are so developed and just absolutely lovable. Everyone will love this show.
