Quarantine recreational activities

The spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, has shut down the world, so people’s day-to-day lives have changed drastically. Hopefully, for most people, that means they’re staying home and practicing social distancing. If you’re quarantined at your house, though, you’ve probably already found yourself bored a lot of the time. Here’s a list of things to do if you’re bored in quarantine. 

  • Read a book
  • Take walks or find a new place to hike
  • Walk your dog
  • Organize your room
  • FaceTime your friends and follow a Bob Ross tutorial
  • Play a board game with your siblings or family
  • Create a schedule while in quarantine
  • Workout
  • Find fun apps on your phone
  • Do a puzzle
  • Watch movies
  • Learn how to cook something new
  • Go on a walk and have a photoshoot
  • Go on a drive
  • Support local businesses 
  • Learn a new song on an instrument
  • Make a TikTok
  • Don’t eat because you’re bored
  • Find some new songs or albums
  • Bake something
  • Go on daily walks with your family
  • Walk your dog, take them to the dog park
  • Make cookies and take to people (without symptoms)
  • Read a book
  • Watch NETFLIX (take advantage of the extra time!)
  • Write a story
  • Color in a coloring book (you’re never too young for crayons)
  • Write cards for people
  • Make a couch fort with blankets and pillows
  • Clean your room (I know, yuck-but you’ll be inside a lot. It will help your mentality in the long run)
  • Eat ice cream (it’s delicious!)
  • Go on a hike
  • Pull weeds
  • Organize
  • Go on a run (keeps you in shape!)
  • Go on a bike ride (also keeps you in shape!)
  • Have a movie night with the fam
  • Nerf gun war!!
  • Meditate
  • Yoga
  • Play frisbee at the park
  • Facetime your friends! (or use hangouts, duo, etc.) You may not be able to see people in person, but what a blessing for technology!
  • Wash your hands and sanitize (What? That’s not fun!) But it’ll keep you safe 🙂
  • Watch documentaries
  • Rearrange your closet
  • Do some service!
  • Take some time to just sit and think, you don’t get to do that very often.
