All over the world sports fans, basketball lovers, and dad’s are looking forward to a possible return of the NBA season.

It has almost been three months since the commissioner of the NBA, David Stern, announced an indefinite hiatus to the 2019-2020 season.

Rumors have come from from multiples sources including Bleacher Report, WOJ from ESPN, and other sources throughout the league that say a possible delayed 2020-2021 season could be happening.

Resuming the season is of high importance for Adam Silver, the commissioner of the NBA. He said in an interview, ¨Resuming the season is important for us and for our fans, but the safety of players and staff remains at the forefront.”

Fans across the country can only wait and see if the commissioner as well as any others involved in the decision process decide to re-open the NBA.

With the safety of players, coaches, and staff, being the number one priority for the NBA the possibility of a delayed 2020-2021 season could be high. While no statements have been made about such decision rumors have been going around according to Bleacher Report’s instagram account.

With no real ending date to COVID-19 it’s hard to say when the NBA can return from it’s indefinite hiatus and bring back the sport that so many fans world-wide love.

“Encouraged and optimistic” are the words being used to characterize the mood of Adrian Wojnarowski (aka WoJ)  of ESPN terms “an overwhelming majority of high-level officials” who continue to harbor the belief that NBA basketball will return in some form or another in order to complete the 2019-20 season.

Only time will tell what government officials as well as sports head officials will say, but fans across the country and world look forward to good news.
