Emmie eating a taco

Well, here’s the deal folks, I love tacos! So to share a little bit of my love, I’ll share my mom’s taco recipe with YOU! But don’t worry, its super easy.

Yield: 12 tacos or 4 large burritos

Ingredients:

Filling:

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion chopped finely

1 package taco seasoning

⅛ to ¼ cup water

1 can refried beans

Toppings:

Shredded cheese

Shredded lettuce

Chopped tomatoes

Chopped onions

Avocados

Salsa

Sour cream

Crunchy or soft taco shells depending on preference

Cooking Instructions:

Brown onion and hamburger in a large skillet until hamburger meat is partially cooked, add taco seasoning and ¼ cup water, continue to cook until hamburger is browned. Once meat is browned add re-fried beans, cook till heated through. If too thick, add additional ¼ cup water.

*If using crunchy taco shells, fill the shell with taco meat, place filled shells on an upside down muffin tin to hold upright, bake in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. This will keep the taco’s from breaking while eating.
