Top 5 songs at the moment

If you’re anything like me, music runs your life. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, I am constantly listening to music. I feel like the music I listen to changes constantly but, there are those rare songs that get stuck in my head for days. These are the top 5 songs that have been on my mind lately.

5. Feel like a fool by Kali Uchis

Nothing can compare to Kali Uchis, her voice is so different and almost angelic. The song feels like modern jazz in a way. It makes me want to get up and dance when I listen to it. Although the song is about the woman feeling like a fool because her man doesn’t belong to her. But it’s so upbeat and it’s a song that you have to sing with a passion.

4. Prom by SZA
This song feels like summer for me, I always associate songs with a certain time in my life and I was listening to this all the time during the summer. The song just puts me in the best mood because it talks about growing up and i feel like that’s exactly what i’m doing right now. It makes me relate to this song a lot more. Plus, I’ve always associated prom with junior and senior year and I’m almost graduating so this song feels appropriate for the moment.

3. Sanctuary by Joji

This is the perfect song at night time. It’s such a calming beat and Joji’s vocals shine with this song. I like that it talks about someone being their sanctuary because it’s usually a place, not a person. I like this song because it helps me calm down at the end of the day because it’s not a sad or happy song, it’s like an in-between.

2. Jet Fuel by Mac Miller

This is probably the only rap song that has been on my mind lately because I like the beat a lot. It’s just a great song to listen to when you’re trying to get a lot of work done because it’s not a slow pace or a fast paced song, it’s a good combination. It just really helped me when I had some homework assignments to do.

1.Light blue by Landon Cube

This song has been on repeat in my head for a while. It just makes me really happy and it’s really upbeat. It’s one of those songs that you can’t help but start to nod your head to the beat of it. It just is the most different song that I have on my mind right now. I really enjoyed listening to it while reading and drawing the most.
