Disneyland is reopening but with new changes

For the first time in over a year, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California will be opening. Disneyland will reopen on April 30 with new changes to accommodate safety precautions for its long-missed visitors.

Because of COVID-19, there are new regulations put into place to make sure Disneyland is a COVID-19 friendly and safe environment. It will be a phased reopening.

As of right now, only California residents will be allowed in the park to maintain limited gatherings, but as a result, lines will be much shorter and the park less packed. Each visitor must make a reservation and will be required to do a temperature check at some entrances. Early Morning magic hour, night light shows, parades, personal meet and greets with the Disney cast, and other special activities will not take place for the time being. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Before and during entry into the park, all visitors must be symptom-free. If at any time they are not, they may be asked to leave and/or isolate.

Other Disneyland resorts and theme parks are scheduled to reopen this year. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will open on April 29. Dates for the reopening of The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will be announced at a later time.

We will share any updates on these offerings at a later date”

Even though Disneyland isn’t yet what it used to be, visitors can be excited to visit once again the much-loved park!
