Disney’s newly released Marvel TV show has shown a spotlight on how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be moving forward from here on out. This new show further develops the character of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.

Throughout the six episodes, you are introduced to the super-soldier serum that previous characters like Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers have had. It is a serum that makes a normal human being super strong with good fighting skills.

After the sad ending to the movie “Avengers: Endgame” Steve Rogers, Captain America handed the shield off to Sam Wilson in hopes that he would be the new face of America. Sam would later give the shield to the government in hope that they would keep it in a museum.

They had different plans such as disrespecting the shield and giving it to the “new” Captain America named John Walker.

Hillcrest senior Lizzy Hamilton said, “I think that John Walker played a horrible Captain America.” continuing she said, “He disrespected the shield in the first episode.”

Throughout the show, you will see John Walker fall into a more vulnerable position where he would later have the opportunity to take the super-soldier serum.

Walker would later murder a man apart of the rebellion who was affiliated with the super soldiers. The U.S. government would strip him of the shield.

Wilson took the shield back and fought side by side with Barnes to throw the rebellion off their feet. The Doralumage, also known as Wakanda’s best women fighters, gave a favor to Bucky giving Sam a new Vibranium suit.

“I found Sam’s new suit very cool,” Hamilton said. “It brought the new face of America to an even better and higher standard.”

Bringing Black Captain America into the MCU brings unity and hope for a better future with the push to end racism.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier brought further character development to the new Captain America. Fans are waiting to see what Phase 4 has in store.
