On Thursday April 20, Hillcrest’s girls varsity softball team took on Taylorsville.

Starting off in the first inning, Taylorsville was up to bat when their batters get two singles and a triple in the first inning starting the score off of 2-0 for Taylorsville.

With the second inning up and the huskies at bat, the pitcher for Taylorsville strikes out two batters then gets a runner out on first. With third inning now up, Taylorsville manages to get another 3 runs in, the score now being 5-0.

Through fourth and fifth inning the Huskies get up to bat but have yet to score while Taylorsville brings another 3 runs home making the score 8-0 still for Taylorsville.

Over the next innings Taylorsville gains a total of seven runs Hillcrest still with zero. The games rounds off with a score of 15-0 for taylorsville.

“We tried our best and still had fun playing,” said Morgan Duringham, the second basemen for Hillcrest. The huskies are planning to make a comeback this week with their game on Thursday, April 27. They say their goal is to “Always do our best and have fun working together as a team no matter what.”
