Most of the best bands around today all started out being local. Some of the best music comes from local bands. And it’s time they get a little more recognition. The Wednesday People and Vann Moon played a show together with two other bands on April 28 at Kilby Court and all of them killed it. Although most of them were very new bands, they all played a really fun and chill show.

Regan Plant couldn’t make it to the show, but she is a fan of both of these bands. “They give off a great vibe, and their music is easy for everyone to love. That’s what got me into them.”

If you are into indie music, The Wednesday People are a great band to listen to. They are from Ogden, Utah and have played shows all over Salt Lake. If you are a fan of The Black Keys, you will love this band. They give off a very chill vibe with a little bit of a rockish feel. They made you want to dance and rock out when listening to them. They only have 1 EP out called Blue Moon and it is really good. Sadly, that is all they have out right now but they should be releasing some stuff out very soon.

Another excellent indie band to listen to is a band called Vann Moon. They give off a similar vibe that The Wednesday People give off, with a little bit of bubblegum indie. They don’t have any songs released quite yet because they are so new, but we can definitely expect something from them soon. On April 27 they played their first show, they did great for their first show and the crowd loved them. It was very intimate and fun. They were very together and the crowd was having a great time.
