Bishop Brown was born on May 10, 2001. He is a junior, and one of the star players on the Hillcrest football team. He is the team’s quarterback and wide receiver, all on his first year.

“We have practice every single day except for Sundays,” Bishop stated.

He is the son of Cazzie Brown, also known as ‘Coach Brown’ whom has recently passed away.

“One of the hardest things is playing after my dad passed away, but all of our coaches are dope because they’re my family friends.”

Playing after the passing of Coach Brown has been hard but ultimately  helped them grow as a team, “..they’ve been slump but we all keep playing the way we have been, it’s hard for a lot of people because my dad helped everyone so much, but especially hard for me.”

“Football isn’t my favorite sport though I just picked it up, basketball is my favorite sport, I’ve only been playing football for a year, and I’m hoping to get a scholarship for basketball next year,” Bishop says.

Five years from now, he hopes to go to University of North Carolina because that’s his dream school. “School is more important than anything,” he says. Family is extremely important to him as well, he has one younger brother and one younger sister. “..we are all very close.”

When Bishop isn’t at school or playing football, he likes to go to the gym and work on basketball.

One of Bishop’s most embarrassing moments was when he forgot to get his hair wet in the morning, and didn’t notice until 3rd period.  “I forgot to do my hair one day and then when I went to school, my hair looked like tumbleweed.”
