Matt Lauer, that weird balding guy on the Today show, or maybe, the guy who was fired due to ‘inappropriate sexual behavior.’ Lauer has been a Television personnel since 1994. He was fired December of 2017.

Coworkers of Lauer, who still remain anonymous, came forward and told reporters at NBC that Lauer had a button under his desk which he could press that would lock the door. This would allow him to expose himself to female coworkers, and other sexual acts.

The Today show came forward after he was fired and told their audience that he was fired saying;

“We received a note earlier this morning from Andy Lack saying; ‘ On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident…’” Read more about the note here. http://money.cnn.com/2017/11/29/news/lack-statement-lauer/index.html

Lauer should not be allowed back into the public eye on television, or radio. With that being said, neither should other media personnel who have been taking advantage of their power and sexually assaulted women and men.

These actions have shown the public eye, that the public needs to be taking action. Step forward and make a change. Don’t like what’s happening? Do something about it. Been sexually assaulted? Speak up and put that jerk on trial.

You don’t have to be silent. They may have power, but peers have a voice. Stop waiting for someone to speak up first  and step forward and speak. Everyone wants to be heard, but few try it out for themselves.

Don’t be afraid, easier said than done, but you can do it.
