In recent years new technology has been advancing, and one of the newest trends, talking speakers. The Amazon Echo launched November 6th, 2014. This speaker is able to do what you ask by just saying “Hey Alexa,” and it does it. It can send a simple text from your phone to turning off the lights in your house.

After companies saw these speakers became more popular, there began creating advanced ones. The Google Home was released on November 2016. It does the same thing the Amazon Echo can do, just with more advanced technology.

Amazon and Google have created a speaker that has became very popular over the years. Who are we kidding to not think that Apple would top it by creating their own speaker?

On Febuary 9th, Apple is releasing their own speaker called “Homepod.” The Homepod is able to do everything the others can do, however, the speakers are going to be more improved. According to Apple.com, Homepod will have deep bass engineered to lower the boom, making it louder, seven tweeters, and an A8 chip. The Homepod will be wrapped in a seamless mesh fabric. The available colors will be in space grey and white.

According to Apple.com, “Simply plug it in and your ios device will detect it.” Not only will the speaker be able to detect your voice and do they command, it will also detect when you touch it. You will be able to tap the top of the speaker to play, pause, skip a song, or even adjust the volume.

You can now preorder it on Apple.com, for the price of $349 and an optinal $40 for applecare. Just choose your color and pay.
