Best Italian food in Utah?

Spaghetti Factory is a very popular Italian restaurant located at 5718 S 1900 W, Salt Lake City, Utah, tucked into an exciting historical location in Trolley Square. It’s described on their website as a “Family-friendly chain eatery featuring traditional Italian entrees amid turn-of-the-century decor.”

They can adjust to whatever the size of your party may be. They even have banquet rooms and catering available for special events.

With big shoes to fill, this restaurant did not disappoint. Almost everyone within my party of 12 enjoyed their meals, along with the atmosphere and the wait staff. They have such a wide variety of pasta from classic marinara to spinach tortellini. You really can’t go wrong.

The pasta was creamy and full of rich Italian flavor.

They also accommodate to people with gluten allergies, which is super nice and something that not many restaurants do.

The Italian sodas are super delicious to pair with your pasta, and you can even take home the glass cup for your soda if you don’t finish. I personally love the strawberry flavor. If sodas aren’t your thing, I’d suggest the raspberry iced tea.

Every entree comes with a soup or a salad. They don’t have a wide variety of appetizers so it’s better just to rely on your meal to fill you up. You can pick from a wide variety of dressings for your salad. I like to go with their house pesto, it’s like a creamy ranch with more flavor. Another plus is the unlimited bread with complementary garlic butter.

For dessert, they carry vanilla and spumoni ice cream. Spumoni is a swirled mixture of pistachio, chocolate, and cherry ice cream.

It was a little noisy, but considering that it was the Saturday before Valentine’s day it wasn’t that bad. We made a reservation for 6:00 that evening and we were sat down around 6:25, which could’ve been a lot better.

I’d highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, due to the dimly lit, “romantic” lighting. But, it could also be super fun for a family outing or even a night out with friends. Is it the best Italian food in Utah? Probably not. But they definitely have something to offer for all types of tastes. I’d rate it four paws out of five.
