It’s that time of the year, the IB art show in Hillcrest that has gone on all week from March 19-23. All IB art students get to show their skills and what they know making their masterpieces perfect. The art show took taking place in AT-200 for all students to see and admire.

Students are aloud to go with their class accompanied by their teacher to check out the art show.

Different from all other IB classes, the students don’t have to worry about studying long nights for exams, getting ready for the next assignments, or having long homework assignment. The students are left to figure out their own concept of an idea or ideas to do their own piece of work for the year and figure out what to add to the art show.

These students show that creativity can be taken to other levels, even when using brains over imagination. These students take the saying art-aholic to a new level of amazement. Most young artists want to  express their feelings in art shows, what they hide within, but for these students they express what they know and have learned with their own talent.

The art director Ms.Bennet was very happy with the six students who entered in the show and that work their hardest. The senior students being Allison Urry, Elise Ames, Fang Zhou, Ariel Corpuz, Gavin Sun, and Brady Hartog worked to do their very best and show it for everyone to admire.

“ The students taking the course take the class for two years, some being able to only need to do one year, but all doing their own proper concept idea. I can say that this year’s art show was better than the last, as they keep getting better and progress.”, explained Ms. Bennet.
