Boys Tennis season has kicked off! Hillcrest men’s tennis has always been very competitive, but without some very good seniors from last year, everyone is curious how the team will do this year. Leadership will be key to a successful season for this year.

Senior James, a Spanish teacher here at Hillcrest, he is the head coach of the team and has done an amazing job. Hillcrest had an amazing season last year winning their region.

Jackson Summerhays was the star player last year that lead the team to many victories. Unfortunately he has graduated, which will really test this year’s seniors as they will work hard to fulfill his spot.

Corbin Rogers a Junior at Hillcrest has been a leader for the tennis team for two years. He has carried the team to a lot of victories after asking Corbin some of his favorite things about tennis his favorite part is competing. “I love the team competitiveness” Corbin is working hard every day to make his team better.  

With the season winding down it will be interesting to see how it turns out with the missing seniors from last year. It will truly be up to the underclassmen to make this season a success. With Corbin Rogers leading the way we are expecting good results for this season.
