On May, the Manchester United and Everton FC were shocked when former starter Wayne Rooney accepted a 12.5 million dollar contract to join MLS team D.C. United.

The English international was a huge star when he played for one of England’s greatest teams Manchester United. Rooney played Alongside many great players like, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Van Der Sar, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Wayne Rooney had left Manchester United because he felt like they didn’t need him. He went back to his former and first team, Everton FC, where it “was home” to Rooney. The Everton family brought Rooney back with their arms open, as if he never went anywhere.

The English international has been in talks to go to the US to play in the MLS for at least 3 years, not talking about retirement but to continue his playing career in a different league that isn’t in Europe, He wants to “something new for once.”

“I spoke with my family about this, it was a long discussion. It wasn’t easy to speak them and the lads, It was mentally ruining me but I managed to make my decision, we are going to experiment a new culture in the next year or so,” said Rooney.

It looks as if the MLS and the D.C. United Fans are in for a treat this coming summer as Wayne rooney will make his appearance to the people of D.C. Wayne Rooney will make a huge impact on the club and the environment.

Looks like this is a huge year for the MLS, considering that they have received, Giovanni and Jonathan Dos Santos, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Many European soccer players are trying to make the MLS one of the greatest leagues that ever came to the sport of soccer and so it can be an attraction to many other soccer players of the world.
