A garden is a place to be yourself to express what you like to do and grow the things you like. There are many types of gardens from a flower garden, tree garden, fruit, mix, and so on. The possibilities for these are endless.

Now at Hillcrest High School a new small garden has been started for the students to enjoy for themselves. The garden is led by one of the science teachers Mr. Flanigan, who thought would be a great idea to start a school garden after the excitements his students got from growing their vegetables in the school.

The garden was started a few months back around the start of spring when vegetables would be best to grow. The garden did catch a good amount of attention when some students checked it out and started to grow their own vegetables now. Soon the garden will grow the variety of seed the students planted with a little time and caring they will grow to a beautiful sight.

When asked most students who eat in the area of where the garden is they all responded with similar answers. When they grow out they’re gonna give a beautiful view to enjoy our lunches. Not all students were very thrilled with the garden though.

“It’s not a bad idea to have the garden I think it should be in a different area though cause the garden is gonna also attract unwanted guests. Gardens attract bees and other animals or insects that could hurt use, like what if the vegetables turned bad that could attract rats or any other critter and just ruin the garden.” Said  senior Reece Limb.
