The “Nun” is a movie based off the demon Valak, who is the worst of the devil’s advocate, he is the worst one. The Majority of this movie is dramatic rather than terrifying. It wasn’t what you would would expect; of course there’s some horror, but it’s mostly just the silly jump scares that get you, not the actual plot of the movie.

One scene that really was scary was when they first introduced to the “nun” and when they showed its face. It’s one of the jump scares that makes you want to hide under a blanket but keeps you on the edge.

One thing that is annoying is how this is supposed to be like the beginning or a continuation of the Conjuring, but in reality it doesn’t have any story line that connects the three.

According to Forbes “Despite strong acting and some engaging visuals, The Nun is a glorified nothing-burger of a movie. As a prequel to the prequel to the prequel to The Conjuring, it offers little beyond filling in a few blanks in terms of how the main villain from The Conjuring 2 came to be.”

This movie is supposed to be the scariest out of the three in movies, but honestly it just doesn’t match to the other ones. There really was no plot line, or anything just dark hallways and loud noises. The movie was simply just lacking creativity.

The actors in the movie were actually actors who were pretty popular, they used Taissa Farmiga who is acting in American Horror Story, and also they used Bonnie Aarons who has acted previously in scary movies.

This movie could have just done better, it wasn’t scary, and it definitely was not worth seeing in the theatre. This would get a one out of five paws.
